26 and still nice

i turned 26 on the 26th. the last couple years i always had some friends over for my birthday but this time i decided to avoid the mess - so we all met in a nice bar, had a couple drinks and went dancing. this was especially a great birthday because some of my friends where studying abroad last year and are finally back.
i got lots of great presents, including this sushi-invitation:

i wanna hold your hand

my friend julius is staying at my place while he is playing some shows in and around the city.
he arrived on sunday and we haven´t seen each other longer than 30 minutes in a row yet. i am leaving for work early and he´s returning late.

i started working in a new kindergarten this week. it´s fun (of course) and so many new impressions.
when we were on our way to the playground yesterday, a 5 year old asked me:
"why is nobody holding YOUR hand?"
me: "i think it´s because i am new and the kids don´t know me well enough yet"
he: "well, i think I AM ready to hold your hand"

herzliche people

this is a quote by my friend lilly. i think the message is good enough to get carried around on
a bag. i am thinking about "i like herzliche people" buttons, too.

** if you´re not familiar with german - "herzliche" means hearty.

flower brooches

i just got back from a night of dancing and beer. my feet hurt and for now i´ll leave you with these flower brooches i finished earlier today. they´re actually bigger than they might look in the picture ( around 5" i think).

the guinea pig and me

i had this little roommate for the last couple days. tomorrow he is going back to his "real" family. guinea pigs are stange looking guys (->silikon lips). some people may say they´re stupid, i think it´s pure lazyness.
